Tweetboard is an exciting tool that is currently in alpha. I see a lot of cool possible applications of this tool in the future. Tweetboard allows threaded conversations and forums to be created and displayed on your Web site using Twitter. This is an excellent method to create context for a conversation. Where it really benefits organizations, is that you can interact with the people who are talking about your company or brand on Twitter right on your homepage. In addition to it displaying the conversation on your site, it also broadcasts the tweets to Twitter and the twitterverse which can potentially draw a bigger audience to your site.
Some other practical applications I think this tool could be used for are:
- It could function as a Twitter equivalent to a live chat feature, with the added bonus of publicly displaying the answers to questions.
- It can allow interaction between a customer and a brand representative who could play any role from customer support to personal shopper.
Those are some of the ways I would recommend companies use this tool, but I’m sure there are several other creative ways it could be used. How would you use this service?
